Jaylin Lugardo is a current junior from Newark, New Jersey. She is pursuing a concentration in Classics, with certificates in Hellenic Studies and Humanistic Studies. Her research interests engage with the role of citizenship in the construction of Greek identity after the 5th century, specifically looking at the change in status of ancient Macedonians in Greece leading up to and during the reign of Philip II and Alexander the Great. She hopes to challenge traditional approaches in her discipline through the integration of digital-mapping and data-driven techniques in her analysis, melding the ancient world with our modern one. On campus, she works as a Digital Learning Lab Specialist in Lewis Library, a trustee of the Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund, and a member of Princeton Latinos y Amigos as well as the Princeton Dream Team.
